Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your consultations for?

If you have health issues or goals that you need help with, or you would like support in improving your diet, my consultations are for you. Most clients that come to see me are women, but I also work with men and children.

What is a consultation?

Consultations involve longer initial appointments, or shorter follow up sessions. We meet via zoom to discuss your health concerns, goals and the steps that you need to take to work towards better health. The first consultation involves a very in-depth health assessment that will cover your family health history and your health from birth through to the present day. Follow up sessions enable us to review your progress and agree further gradual changes to your diet and lifestyle.

How long are your consultations?

An introductory free consultation is available for 20-30 minutes, then your first full session (an initial consultation) will take 90 minutes. This is much longer than you would typically spend with a doctor because we look at all aspects of your health. Follow up consultations take 45 minutes, and catch-up interim consultations generally take around 30 minutes.

Where do you hold your consultations?

Currently all consultations are online via Zoom.

How can I arrange a consultation?

You can book an initial phone consultation. If you know what you require, you can book the consultation you would like by here: https://p.bttr.to/3rhN49X Alternatively you can call me on 07873 121 616, email me at info@victoriabellnutrition.co.uk, or you can fill in the online contact form.

What do I need to bring with me to the consultations?

Bringing a notebook will allow you to jot down a few notes and have some quick action points as soon as you finish the session. If you are taking any medication and/or supplements, please bring details including name, brand (for supplements) and dosage. If you have had any tests recently and it is possible to get a printed or emailed copy of the results from your doctor’s surgery, please bring these along or email to info@victoriabellnutrition.co.uk in advance. You may wish to have a drink ready for your session.

How do I pay for the consultations?

Payment details will be emailed to you in advance of the consultation and payment will need to be made at least 24 hours before the consultation by bank payment. If you require a payment plan to spread the cost, feel free to ask and this can be arranged.

What sort of testing is involved?

In some cases, it may be appropriate to refer you for testing with your GP. In this case, I can write a referral letter which can make getting the test agreed and arranged by your GP easier for you. Tests may range between blood pressure or visual checks, blood tests or any other test deemed suitable by your GP or consultant. If standard tests with your GP do not offer enough information to identify the root causes of your symptoms, private tests are available. these tests are all optional and incur an extra charge which you would pay to the lab. Most of these tests are non-invasive, kits can be delivered for you to run the tests at home and often involve a pre-arranged courier or sending by post. During our consultations, I can explain testing options available to you, order them if you would like to go ahead and interpret the results for you. It is always your own personal choice if you would like to use testing.
